Mighty dragon of the skies
master of an alternate paradise
harbinger of eternal flame
beast is thy species, dragon is thy name
Iron talons do curl about
smoky ribbons climb from his snout
cruel curve of a leather wing
paradoxical messages does he bring
And maybe with sensuous curves does he take flight
Probing the minds of the creatures of the night
Hastening to take effect the power of his call
Breeching the most impenetrable wall
This dragon, he soars overhead in a thunder
Tearing all the people hold dear, asunder
Finding your fears in the deepest recesses
Tearing apart the knights in the biggest messes
Seek now, or forever hold your part
Or find within you, your own dragon's heart
Such a wondrous creature to die without
Disappointing the masses of followers devout
Mighty dragon emblazoned on many a family crest
The Olde families ablaze in their finest best
Beating their drums to a frenetic beat
Only to die in the dragon's scorching heat
A loner, a scholar, a master of arts
a warrior, a hunter, an eater of hearts
This be the dragon you thought you knew well
Prophet of Olde, with countless stories to tell.
