I Would Rather

By Moonchilde

I've no need for stone cathedrals
with their panes of colored glass -
I would rather find my answers
in a single blade of grass.

I refuse the Earth's dominion
granted me in Sunday School -
I instead will seek Her healing
using magick as my tool.

I've no need to join together
to hear readings from a book -
I would rather sit in silence
to hear babblings from a brook.

I refuse to seek redemption
for a "sin" that was not mine -
Goddess' mill grinds very slowly,
but it grinds exceeding fine.

I've no need for laws on tablets
'graved to judge my every deed -
I would rather make my choices
by relying on the Rede.
